Nokia 6 Coming to the U.S. This July for $229

In the pre-smartphone era, Nokia was a driving force in the tech world. The company was later acquired by Microsoft and then HMD Global. Earlier this year, the Finnish company started production of Android phones with Nokia brand. The company has now announced that the Nokia 6 will go on sale in the United States this July.

HMD's portfolio consists of three Android phones — Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3. The phones have been well-received by the community and reviewers. Additionally, unlike many other companies, HMD attempts to be swift at delivering updates.

If you need a refresher, the Nokia 6 is a mid-range smartphone which was released on January 8. The device is the first Nokia-branded smartphone since the Lumia 638 from 2015, and it has a Snapdragon 430 as its CPU, a decent 3 GB of RAM LPPDDR 3, 32GB of expandable storage, a 16 MP back camera and 8 MP front shooter,  a 3,000mAh battery and a 5.5-inch Full HD screen. The device is running Android 7.1.1.

HMD is going to sell the phone through Amazon for $229. Initially, only the Matte Black and Silver colors will be available, and the Tempered Blue and Copper models will arrive later this summer. Nokia 6 might hit the rocks in the United States due to band compatibility. Check out the Operator Network Compatibility table.

Honor launched the honor 4x smartphone a couple of years back if was indeed one of the successful models of the smartphone. It has a decent set of specs for the price at which it is being offered at. However, when you compare with other competitions on the market right now, at the same price you can get way better smartphones. Also, if you own the smartphone, then you already know how bad the software on this smartphone is. However, there is not a lot of things which you can do about it, other than simply flashing a new custom ROM.

  • You also need to make sure that you are installing a custom recovery software. You can install any of your choices, however, we suggest you go for TWRP for this installation.
  • You also need to make sure that the battery in the tablet has about 60-percent charge before you begin the installation. If your smartphone's battery dies during the installation, then you may end up with a completely bricked smartphone.
