Facebook to Roll Out Ads in Facebook Messenger Globally

Facebook is the largest social network these days and with such scope, they've been expanding their offerings into other areas. From messaging to a marketplace and even its own video platform, Facebook is trying to offer as many services as it can to its 2 billion monthly active users. This type of work doesn't come cheap and even though they make money from their own ad network, Facebook has been wanting to tap into their messaging platform as a revenue source for a while now.

Of those 2+ billion Facebook users, over 1 billion currently use Facebook Messenger to chat with people they know. It was just last year when Facebook's VP of messaging products David Marcus spoke at Tech Crunch: Disrupt in San Francisco to confirm their plans to make money from the platform. At the time, the only details they announced were to allow bots that could accept payments without sending their user base to an external website to complete the transaction.

We've seen a big push of automated bots of all kinds in Facebook Messenger as of late, but now it looks like they're working on tapping into another revenue stream for the platform. This week Facebook announced they would be testing ads within Facebook Messenger and its 1.2 billion monthly active users. These ads will be displayed on the home tab (as you can see from the featured image), and will be designated with a clear Sponsored market right above it.

Tapping on said ad will either send the user to the advertiser's website, or simply open up a chat window so they can interact with the brand. Facebook has already completed its initial pilot program which happened in Australia and Thailand back in January of this year. It seems they were happy with the result as they're now prepared to test this system globally.

How To Install Android 7.1.1 Nougat based MoKee ROM on Redmi 4 Prime Smartphone

Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime is one of the most successful smartphones that Xiaomi has ever launched. It offers some really good internals for the price at which it is being offered at. However, if you own this smartphone then you already know that the software i.e. the MIUI does not give an ideal user experience. However, there is not a lot that you can do about it, other than simply installing a third party custom ROM.

Well, if you are wondering how to do it, then you are in the right place. Today we will be showing how to do the same. Today we will show you how to install Android 7.0 Nougat based MoKee ROM on Redmi 4 Prime Smartphone. But before that, let's take a look at some of the new features that it will bring to the table.

About the ROM

Below are some of the working features of the smartphone on this ROM –

  • Camera rear/front (Photographs)
  • Camera rear/front (Video – Use Camu from Play Store)
  • Auto brightness.
  • Fingerprint.
  • Bluetooth, Mic, Wi-Fi, GPS, IR

  • RIL

Now that it is out of the way let's check out some of the requirements that are necessary for the installation. Below are some of the pre-requisite for the same –

Pre-requisite

  • The first thing which you need to make sure is that you are creating a complete backup of your files. Since we will be completely wiping the internal memory of the phone, you will end up loosing all your files.
  • You also need to make sure that you are installing a custom recovery software. You can install any of your choices; however, we suggest you go for TWRP for this installation.
  • You also need to make sure that the battery in the tablet has about 60-percent charge before you begin the installation. If your smartphone's battery dies during the installation, then you may end up with a completely bricked smartphone.
  • And lastly it is also necessary to make sure that you have downloaded the firmware file which is necessary for the installation. Without this file, you won't be able to proceed with the installation, and hence we suggest you download the same from the link given below.
